More wedding Creations....

SO, another wedding, another topper! This time for my father, I wanted to go for a more caricature look than my previous topper, and I was pretty happy with the result!

KAPOW!!!

Here's a logo I designed for the good folks at Kapow Toys! They liked the retro stylings of Lunarbeam's own logo and wanted something in a similar vein and I was happy to oblige! Find their website here: http://www.kapowtoys.co.uk/

Goblin away

Now for something a little different...

I started this little project the week the Hobbit came out on DVD. Yeah, I guess I'm a suggestible soul! I've never tried any kind of realistic sculpture before, but I enjoyed the Muppet Matrimony project so much I thought I'd give it a go. I'm actually really pleased with the way it's going, but there's still ample opportunity to balls things up!

Eye of the Turtle...

This was a quick T-shirt design (see below image for link ) designed to quickly convey the personalities of our four favourite mutant ninjas! Prints, Tees, and iPad/Iphone cases featuring the design can be purchased here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/mrlunarbeam/works/10098299-eye-of-the-turtle

Bonecat?

So yeah, here's a fully fledged doodle produced through the mighty powers of procrastination. I should have been getting on with diploma work, but I just found drawing an armoured, bony feline a far too engaging distraction!

I did some cursory shadow work, but hopefully I'll get the chance to colour it proper good someday soon.

The Legend (that never) Ends...

So here's another that's been wafting around my hard drive for a little while! It's another zelda one, but this time it's been mashed up with the famous teaser poster from The Dark Knight Rises.

I've also submitted it redbubble.com, so if you fancy, you can now wear this design, have it on your wall or even strap it to your iPhone (for a price, of course!)

Allow me to LINK (hurrr!) you to the redbubble page:

It's a great site for the kind of nerdy Tshirts I love, so have a browse while you're there!

The General Rises...

This one has been a very long time coming. I did the original design way back in 2006 (I think. Really must start putting a date on my artwork! See bottom image), and I've always wanted to give it a bit of colour.

This is yet another character from my own little sci-fi world, and has always been known as 'Snake General', in lieu of a proper moniker. As you may have guessed, he's a leader of an army! I imagined an alien lizard race that had over millennia reduced the need for their back legs as their tail evolved to become more useful, hence the small, vestigial limbs by the waist. As for the feathers? Why the hell not. Some dinosaurs had feathers and couldn't fly, so I envisaged these for display purposes.

I dug out the original drawing with a view of simply popping it into photoshop and giving it a bit of colour, but I decided I wanted to give it a complete overhaul in illustrator and make a few additions and remove some bits that didn't make sense (see the robotic neck muscles of the original sketch!). I've gone back to it on and off for over a year, and it's finally finished.

I tried may different colour schemes, but I settled on one that's reminiscent of the garish colour schemes found on 90's action figures and toys such as Turtles, Toxic Crusaders and Mighty Max.
